Conference

Uonaa International Training Workshop

📅 10th – 12th June 2026 📍 Mombasa Continental Resort, Mombasa, Kenya ⏰ Deadline: 4th June 2026
"Fostering Global Solutions Through Alumni Engagement and Network in Higher Education"

Purpose of the forum

Despite overwhelming evidence that investments in Higher Education, TVETs, and community colleges yield the highest returns of any social, economic, and political sector, most countries still allocate less than 2% of their budgets to education. In the 2025/2026 financial year, Kenya allocated approximately 16.6% of the budget to education — still insufficient to meet all sector needs.

Registered in 2005, the University of Nairobi Alumni Association (UONAA) is dedicated to linking, engaging, and networking UoN graduates and partners to foster the university's development. With offices along Kolobot Drive, Kileleshwa, Nairobi, UONAA promotes alumni interests through mentorship, career development, fundraising, scholarships, internship support, and research.

This forum will directly help alumni associations and related organizations carve pathways to bridge financial demands in higher education and develop lasting strategies aligned to global standards.
